WHAT A YEAR THAT WAS !

Impact Recruitment has enjoyed an exceptional year in 2007.. The Northampton-based company increased its yearly turnover by 15 per cent. " We are particularly proud of this achievement as earlier this year we had to let our largest customer go." says Director, Neil Kitchener.  "This customer spent a seven figure sum with us yearly and accounted for just over 20% of our total turnover.

" Our customer announced it was reviewing supplier costs and dictated a lower pricing structure to us.  Not surprisingly one of our competitors had already agreed to take over the contract at this lower rate and three others were eagerly waiting in the wings."

" With the extra 4 days holidays and increase in minimum wage due on October 1st this year the new rate dictated to us would have meant making a loss on this contract.  We felt that no client, no matter how large, had a right to dictate loss making charge rates to us and so made the decision to let them go." added Neil.

Letting such a large client go freed up key resources.  These were used to develop shared accounts and drive a new business sales campaign. 

Immediately we began placing the redundant workforce into new and more profitable contracts.  By October this year we had equalled last years total turnover and will go on to beat it by 15 per cent by the end of the year!
